Gorski is an ultra-athletic outfielder with the chance to do a lot of things well on the baseball field. He can make loud contact and drive the ball, but there’s crudeness in his game that needs to be adjusted. There’s length to his swing and he’s worked with the Pirates to clean his bat path and become more efficient. He’s a plus runner who can steal a base and cover a lot of ground in the outfield.
Right now, there’s no reason to think Gorski can handle center field, but given his size (6-foot-4), he could fill out and that could necessitate a move to left, where he played quite a bit during his pro debut. The raw skills are all there; how much he can refine his approach and mechanics at the plate should determine just how good of a prospect he becomes.
