A native of Japan, Shinichi Fukae can lay claim to a rare honor: he’s the only angler to win an Angler of the Year award in the highest levels of professional competition in Japan and America. Fukae claimed the FLW Tour AOY award in 2004, not long after winning the Japan Bass Top 50 honor. Fukae has four wins and 28 Top 10s to his credit in his professional career.
